Be Careful What You Wish For

The big tagline that was thrown around at the beginning of the COVID-19 shut down was, “We’re all in this together.”  Some agreed – some did not.  But that was the sentiment that was being conveyed.  It got me thinking. I have flown many commercial flights in my lifetime; most with people I had never met – but we were all in it together for the duration of that flight.  I have taken cruise ships; sometimes for a day trip, some for longer.  The number of people exceeded that which I was with on an airplane – and we were all in it together for the duration of the cruise.  Never once on any flight or any cruise did I or anyone else on the trip wish out loud, I hope the Pilot or Captain fails!

In most cases, I never saw the Captain until the flight (or cruise) concluded.  I did not speak to the Flight Attendants and ask them, “Hey, has the Captain got all his/her marbles or is he/she a complete idiot?”  It never occurred to me.  If anything, I prayed these individuals had their wits about them and kept me safe and headed towards my intended destination.  I should also mention that in every single case – I got where I was going safely.  Why then is there such a propensity in this country to see the President fail?

People disagree with his demeanor.  They do not like how he tweets; what he tweets.  They do not like his businesses.  They do not like his family.  He plays golf when he should be working.  The man has not taken a step without someone criticizing his actions and that has escalated towards hoping for his ultimate failure.

Now consider this:  Have you ever head this statement: “If you believe you can, or you believe you cannot – you’re right”?  There have been many books written about the laws of attraction and how to manifest what you want.  If you have not read them, I am more than happy to share cliff notes with you on this.  If you focus your intention on something happening, you are essentially requesting that the universe give you what you want.  Therefore, you are putting your energy, your focus on the President of the United States FAILING.  He is our pilot.  You may not have hired him – but he is flying the plane we are on.  Why on earth would you hope for his failure?

For anyone out there who think that one person cannot or does not make a difference I offer you this name:  Derek Chauvin.  Seven minutes of this man’s life and look at what has transpired since.

I do not have a crystal ball or any innate ability to see into the future – but I am familiar with Murphy’s Law.  Whether you would like to see President Trump’s tenure continue for another four years or you are hoping that he will vacate the office in November, one thing is certain:  IT’S NOT NOVEMBER YET!!!

There is more to this than being right.  You may dislike him.  You may have very valid reasons why you dislike him.  He is human and has made mistakes as we all have.  This is not a blog about how perfect the President is.  It is, however, a blog about seeing the bigger picture.  YOU ARE BETTING AGAINST THE HOUSE.  If for no other reason than for all of America to be successful, root for the home team!  Please pray for our nation to find common ground and pray for President Trumps success.  It is not about him.  It is about US!

Thanks Dave! I’m not doing it for the Roars. I’m doing it to try to make people see the other side of things.
