The Concensus
For all those people who are talking about mail in ballots … Chew on this for a bit.
Before COVID, I signed up to work on the 2020 Census. I’m embarrassed to say, until this year, I had no idea of the significance of the census; what the numbers translate to, etc. I know enough now to know how important it is. And I could use a job.
COVID delayed the process of EVERYTHING. That’s no newsflash. But, it is about to get back on track. I was notified by email that the training was being scheduled and could I contact them to select a date. Sadly, I found this email in my SPAM folder about two weeks after it was sent. I reached out when I saw it and scheduled training for August 5th at 10:30 am. This was a few weeks ago. I received a phone call about one week after scheduling, asking me if I would like to schedule my training. Huh? I’m scheduled, I insisted and told the man the date, time and location. “Well, you’re not listed here – but I can put you in at that time.” Okay.
Yesterday, I received an email from a different person from the Census bureau confirming my training on August 4th at 9:30 am. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
This is the census bureau!
My next question is – will we be using common core math?
